Christmas is a very hard time for families affected by domestic abuse. MK ACT are very grateful for any presents for the children and women in our refuge and families that we support through our Crisis Intervention Service.
We have included a list of the ages of children in our refuge for anyone who would like to donate a present. Please note, due to heath and safety we can only accept new toys. We also cannot accept toy guns and knives.We ask for all presents to be either in gift bags with a label on with the child’s age, or in plastic bags.
We also grateful for any vouchers for the families or presents for the children to be able to give their mothers.
Ages and sexes of children in the refuge at Christmas 2019:
- 0-1yrs = 3 boys and 5 girls
- 2-3 yrs = 4 boys and 3 girls
- 4-5yrs = 6 boys and 4 girls
- 6-7yrs = 2 boys and 3 girls
- 8yrs = 2 boys
- 9-10= 3 boys and 3 girls
- 12yrs = 2 boys and 2 girls
- 16yrs= 2 boys and 2 girls
If there was anyone who might be able to donate supermarket vouchers for Xmas instead of toys, these would be fantastic as we would like to give them to the families to buy the fresh vegetables for their Christmas Dinner as we are making up hampers.
When you have bought your present or vouchers please drop it off to this address:

When you have dropped off your gifts please email your name/organisation and your address to Lolly@mk-act.org
If you are delivering more than 10 presents please email fundraising@mk-act.org so we can arrange staff to help.
