Volunteering
You can support our work by offering the gift of time and skills either directly to our service users or by working alongside staff to help enhance the service we offer.
The MK-ACT Volunteer Service seeks to provide positive development opportunities for both volunteers and our service users. We aim to offer a supportive environment that enables individuals to develop while ensuring safety and confidentiality.
We hope applicants will find the experience of volunteering with us rewarding, challenging and fun and that it helps individuals to achieve their personal goals.
If you are interested in volunteering with MK-ACT we would like to hear from you. You can support our work in several ways.
We provide opportunities for volunteers to work directly with our service users, providing them with emotional, social and practical support.
We particularly welcome applications from those who speak other languages, especially Eastern European and Asian dialects. We also welcome applications from those with childcare qualifications and experience.
All prospective volunteers are offered an information and application pack, an informal interview and if successful, training and ongoing supervision. We require two personal references and if successful, DBS criminal records check.
We are currently in need of volunteer support with events. If you have availability on weekends, during evenings or afternoons and love meeting new people, getting out and about, you could help us spread the word about MK Act services as well as supporting with fundraising events.
